No. 12 Alabama Women's Golf Hits the Road Again for the Florida State Matchup

Crimson Tide will play in its second tournament of the spring slate this weekend
TUSCALOOSA Ala. – The Crimson Tide women's golf team makes the trip to Panama City, Florida, for the seventh annual Florida State Match-Up at the Bay Point Golf Club, Feb. 29-March 1.
Tournament Info
- Alabama's second event of the spring begins Saturday at 8 a.m. CT with 36 holes at the par 72, 6,290 yards Nicklaus Course.
- Action wraps up with 18 more holes Sunday at the seventh annual event that features three top-25 teams and four programs ranked in the top 40 nationally.
- In addition to 10 schools playing for team and individual championships, five pairs of programs get to compete with each other for the match-up title.
- The field includes No. 13 LSU, No. 24 Florida State, No. 40 Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Kansas State, Memphis, Missouri, Toledo and USF.
- The Crimson Tide are set to be paired with tournament host No. 24 Florida State.
A Look at the Lineup
- Alabama's starting five includes senior Kenzie Wright, juniors Polly Mack and Angelica Moresco, and freshmen Caroline Curtis and Emilie Øverås.
- Along with Alabama's starting five, sophomore Carolina Caminoli will play individually for her second tournament of the season.
- Junior Polly Mack had a top-three performance in the spring opener, scoring a 5-under par 211 (70-71-70).
- Mack was followed by freshman Caroline Curtis, tying for 21st with a 2-over par 218 (71-75-72) and senior Kenzie Wright, who tied for 32nd with a 4-over par 220 (71-76-73).
- The Tide closed its spring opener with junior Angelica Moresco tying for 35th (72-71-78/221) and freshman Emilie Øverås tying for 75th (80-78-75/233).
- The Crimson Tide women finished the fall season strong, with three second-place finishes in the Schooner Fall Classic (284-283-281/847), Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (283-280-290/853) and Landfall Tradition (285-278-299/862).
- Alabama was led in the fall by senior Kenzie Wright, who had two top-five performances and 10 rounds par or lower.
