Alabama Women's Golf Sits in Third at Florida State Match-Up

The Crimson Tide wrap up competition tomorrow beginning at 8:50 a.m. CT
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – After two rounds of the Florida State Match-Up at the Bay Point Golf Club, the Alabama women's golf team sits in third in the team standings.
In windy conditions on Saturday, the Crimson Tide collected a two-round total of 36-over par 612 (305-307) and hold a two-stroke lead over fourth place. The LSU Tigers are leading the field, along with Clemson in the matchup format. Alabama and tournament host Florida State sit in second and trail the leaders by 11 strokes heading into Sunday.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Senior Kenzie Wright shot 6-over par 78 in the first round and improved in the afternoon to 1-over par 73 to move into a tie for eighth place at 7-over par 151 going into the final round.
- Wright noticed an eagle on hole No. 9 to propel her top-10 run.
- In a tie for 27th stands freshman Caroline Curtis (76-81/157), who tallied four birdies on the back nine during the first round. The freshman has seven birdies total after 36 holes.
- Freshman Emilie Øverås (80-73) and sophomore Carolina Caminoli (80-73), who is competing as an individual are tied for 13th at 9-over par 153.
- The leader for the beginning of the day, junior Polly Mack, saw a first round total of 1-over par 73. Mack (73-83) sits in a tied for 24th at 12-over par 156.
- Rounding out the group is junior Angelica Moresco (81-78/159) in a tie for 35th place.
