
Crimson Tide Track & Field Travels to College Station for SEC Indoor Championships

Conference titles, NCAA berths up for grabs at conference meet Friday and Saturday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama track & field travels to College Station, Texas for the 2020 Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships, inside Gilliam Stadium on Feb. 28-29. The Crimson Tide will face off with the toughest and deepest conference in all of collegiate track & field beginning Friday at 11:15 a.m. CT and continuing Saturday at 10:45 a.m. CT.
Live Coverage
- On SEC Network+, fans can watch a live broadcast of the 2020 SEC Indoor Championships on both days of the meet.
- Friday's coverage begins at 5:10 p.m. CT and Saturday's broadcast starts at 3:55 p.m. CT.
- Also, SEC Network will show tape-delayed television coverage of Saturday's finals. The broadcast will run Sunday at 7 p.m. CT.

Both Squads Enter Postseason Ranked
- Both the Alabama women and men have ranked within the top-25 for each of the last two weeks.
- The women currently sit at No. 17 in the final USTFCCCA nationals rankings of the indoor regular season and the men stand at No. 23 entering conference championship weekend.
- A total of 16 SEC men's and women's track and field programs are included in the top-25.
- In the USTFCCCA's #EventSquad rankings, the UA women are listed fifth nationally in the 400m, sixth in the 200m, 12th in the 3000m and 14th in shot put. The Crimson Tide men are ranked 11th in the 400m.
- Alabama currently has a total of 22 marks or times that rank within the NCAA top-50, 12 of which fall within the top-25.
- To qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, athletes must rank within the top-16 in their respective events at the end of the conference championship weekend.
Last Time Out at SEC Indoor Championships
- Last season's SEC Indoor Championships were held in Fayetteville, Ark., and Crimson Tide women took third posting its best team finish since 1994, while the men took fourth, putting both the teams in the top-four indoors for the first time since 1986.
- Then-sophomore Tamara Clark stole the show for Alabama crossing the line with a 22.90 in the women's 200m.
- Clark marked the first Alabama runner to win the 200m since Stacy Bowen in 1994 and just the third ever.
