Pole vaulter Isabella Maple’s personal-best jump moved her into the program’s all-time top 10 as Miracle Ailes (long jump), Trevor Gunzell (discus) and Diamonasia Taylor (high jump) won their respective events
AUBURN, Ala. – Isabella Maple highlighted Alabama track and field's showing at the Tiger Track Classic as her PR-setting clearance of 4.05 meters (13-3.50) in women's pole vault moved her to No. 9 all-time on the Crimson Tide's all-time top-10 list.
Across the day, three event titles were won by UA as Miracle Ailes' fourth attempt of 6.39 meters (20-11.75) secured the victory in women's long jump. Teammate Diamonasia Taylor used a season-best clearance of 1.71 meters (5-7.25) to win women's high jump, while Trevor Gunzell captured the men's discus title behind a 61.56-meter (201-11) throw on his second attempt.
Head Coach Dan Waters Said
"It was a solid meet for us and a good opportunity to get a number of athletes out to compete. We saw some positive efforts and gained valuable experience, which is important at this point in the season. Now the focus shifts to continuing to build and getting ready for our regular-season finale next week at Georgia."
