TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Redshirt junior Jordan Lewis was named to the 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Thursday.
Lewis graduated in August of 2019 with a degree in marketing, while she is currently working on her master's degree in business administration at Alabama. Lewis is one of two Southeastern Conference women's basketball players to be named all-district, alongside Kentucky's Sabrina Haines.
Lewis is the fifth Alabama student-athlete to earn CoSIDA All-District honors during the current academic year, following football's Landon Dickerson and Jedrick Wills Jr., and soccer's Nealy Martin and Alex Plavin. Martin and Plavin went on to earn Academic All-America honors in the fall.
The 2019-20 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
