
Alabama Signs DePaul Transfer Alayna West

West will join the Crimson Tide for the 2026-27 season following two years at DePaul
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Pauline Love announced the addition of transfer Alayna West to the women's basketball program on Tuesday. West will join the Crimson Tide for the upcoming 2026-27 season after spending her first two years at DePaul.

- Appeared in 32 games for the Blue Demons during the 2025-26 season after medically redshirting for the 2024-25 year
- Through her appearances, she made 11 starts, averaging 7.1 points per game
- Scored in double figures six times and recorded a career-high 19 points at Marquette (Jan. 28)
- Led the team and ranked ninth in the BIG EAST with 64 total steals
- Recorded a career-high 10 rebounds at Georgetown (March 1)
- Lettered all four seasons at Madison La Follette High School
- Selected to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 All-State Team (2024)
- Compiled 1,378 points, 826 rebounds, 229 assists and 263 steals in her three-year varsity career, recording school records in points, rebounds and steals
- Averaged 22.1 points, 13 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 4.8 steals per game her senior season (2023-24)
- Set the program's single-game scoring record with 48 points during her junior year (2022-23)
- Notched the school's single-game rebounding record (33) that same season
