
Alabama Women's Golf Finishes Moon Golf Invite Tied for Fourth

Junior Polly Mack goes under par all three rounds on way to top-three finish
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Junior Polly Mack's top-three individual showing paced the No. 9 Alabama women's golf team to a tied for fourth-place finish on Tuesday at the Moon Golf Invite at the Duran Golf Club.
After second round play was suspended Monday evening due to darkness, Alabama finished the two-day 54-hole tournament tied for fourth along with North Carolina at 3-over par 867 (284-293-290). The Crimson Tide have placed in the top four in each of the last four tournaments in which they have competed this season, including three runner-up finishes.
No. 12 Ole Miss claimed the event with a 6-under par 858 (289-285-284/858), while Augusta (288-289-284/861) placed second and tournament host Louisville (292-285-287/864) was third.

A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- As a team, Alabama totaled 173 pars and 40 birdies over the two-day event on the par 72, 6279-yard course.
- Mack tied for third overall with a 5-under par 211 (70-71-70) and was just one stroke away from finishing runner-up. The junior began the final round by bogeying back-to-back holes, but bounced back and played her last 14 holes bogey free, including four birdies.
- She had an impressive week going par or better in all three rounds of competition on her way to the best finish of her Crimson Tide career.
- Freshman Caroline Curtis tied for 21st with a two-over par 218 (71-75-72). On Tuesday, she recorded her fifth round this season at par or better.
- Senior Kenzie Wright scored 4-over par 220 (71-76-73) to finish tied for 32nd after going even on the back nine in the final round.
- Following Wright, junior Angelica Moresco (72-71-78/221) tied for 35th after 54-holes of action.
- Rounding out the lineup for the Tide is freshman Emilie Øverås (80-78-75/233), who ended the tournament tied for 75th respectively.
- Sophomore Carolina Caminoli, competing as an individual, finished in 88th (81-76-87/244).
