Alabama Volleyball Faces No. 4 Florida on the Road

SCOUTING ALABAMA
- Alabama hits the road for the first time this season after dropping a pair of home matches last week to then-No. 7 Missouri
- Facing No. 4 Florida this weekend, this marks just the second time in program history that the Crimson Tide has opened the season with back-to-back ranked opponents, previously doing so in 2009 facing No. 20 Saint Louis and No. 1 Penn State
- The Crimson Tide returns seven letterwinners from last season while welcoming eight newcomers to its 2020 squad, including four freshmen and four transfers
- Following this weekend, Alabama concludes its fall schedule with matches against Georgia (Nov. 7-8) on the road and LSU (Nov. 14-15) at home. SEC volleyball teams are also set to participate in spring competition, with details of formats contingent on final decisions by the NCAA to conduct spring championships in those sports

- Alabama fought off three set points from Missouri in the fourth set to take it past the 25-point mark, but the Tigers ultimately pulled through to win 28-26
- Kendyl Reaugh led the offense with 25 kills (3.57/set) over the two matches, while Abby Marjama (.346) and Kennedy Muckelroy (.333) both finished the week with hitting percentages above .300

- Six newcomers made their Crimson Tide debuts in the matches against Missouri, including four transfers and two freshmen
- Chaise Campbell, Riley Fisbeck, Kennedy Muckelroy, Kendyl Reaugh and Madelyn St. Germain each started a pair of matches while Abby Marjama came off the bench in the opener before starting the second match
- Reaugh, Muckelroy and Marjama have Alabama's top three kill totals, while Fisbeck has 67 of the team's 78 assists and St. Germain leads the team with 21 digs
KAYLEE THOMAS MOVES INTO CAREER TOP 10 AT UA
- Following the matches against Missouri, Kaylee Thomas is now ranked 10th at Alabama with 1,072 career digs, passing previously 10th-ranked Bridget Fuentez (2004-07) with 1,070
- She is 69 digs away from ninth-place Monica Morales (1997-00) and 73 from eighth-place Kryssi Daniels (2012-15)
- Thomas' 3.07 digs-per-set average ranks ninth all-time at UA
