
Alabama Hosts Another Ranked Opponent When it Faces Off Against No. 25 Arkansas on Thursday

The Crimson Tide and Razorbacks will tipoff at 7 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will finish up its three-game homestand with another ranked opponent when No. 25/25 Arkansas comes to Coleman Coliseum on Thursday night. The Crimson Tide (12-8, 2-5 SEC) is looking to continue its momentum after its record-breaking win over Vanderbilt, while the Razorbacks (16-4, 4-3 SEC) got back on track with a blowout win over Florida.
This is the 39th meeting between the two programs with the Razorbacks winning the last two matchups. Arkansas has won the last seven meetings in Tuscaloosa with the last Alabama home win coming on January 15, 2006. In the overall series, the Razorbacks have won eight of the last nine games against the Crimson Tide.

Opening Tip
• Highlighted in Thursday's game will be the two teams' prolific scoring offenses with Alabama ranking as No. 4 in the SEC and Arkansas coming in with the fourth-most points per game in the nation with 85 per contest.
• The Crimson Tide is coming off of a record-breaking performance against Vanderbilt on Sunday, with the Tide putting up the most points against an SEC team since 1999 after exploding for the 98-61 win over the Commodores. The 37-point victory was the largest margin of victory against an SEC team since Alabama defeated Mississippi State 97-64 on Jan. 13, 1996. Alabama was on fire from beyond the arc going 12-of-17 (70.6 percent) which is a school record for three-point percentage in a game with a minimum of eight three-pointers made.
• Since the 1999-00 season only one Alabama team has averaged more than 70 points per game for the season and none have over the previous 17. This season, the Crimson Tide is putting up 74.8 points per contest which ranks fourth in the SEC. Alabama is on pace to score the most points in a season since 1998-99 when the Tide put up 77.5 per game.
• Crimson Tide sophomore Megan Abrams has converted her last 15 free throw attempts, dating back to the South Carolina game on Jan. 5. Alabama is one of the best in the country at getting to the free throw line. The Crimson Tide is No. 27 in the nation in free throw attempts (406) and No. 28 in makes (285). UA is knocking down its attempts at a 70.2 percent clip which is good enough for fourth in the SEC.
• The Crimson Tide has had one of the toughest schedules to start Southeastern conference play with four out of its first seven games coming against top-25 teams. Five of the seven of the teams the Tide has played are in the top-55 in RPI, which include, Texas A&M (17), Tennessee (51), LSU (24), Kentucky (20) and South Carolina (1). Arkansas is No. 47 in the RPI as of Monday, Jan. 27.
• Redshirt junior Jordan Lewis became the program's 29th 1,000-point scorer on Jan. 20 at Tennessee. She currently has 1,035 career points. Lewis took over the No. 8 spot in career assists at Alabama against Texas A&M on Jan. 23 and is just eight away from moving up to No. 7. She has scored in double figures in 10 straight games for an average of 15.2 points per game. For the season, she leads the team in points (13.7), assists (3.7) and is second in three-point makes (35).
• Alabama is one of the best three-point shooting teams in the SEC, coming in at fourth in the conference in attempts (411), makes (144), makes per game (7.2) and percentage (35.0). Junior Jasmine Walker has been on fire as of late from beyond the arc after putting in 18-of-43 (41.9 percent) in conference play. For the season, Walker is fourth in the conference in three-point percentage (39.2), fifth in makes (40) and sixth in makes per game (2.0).
• The Alabama bench has outscored its opponents, 642-341 (32.1 avg. - 17.1 avg), in 20 games this season. The Tide reserves leads the SEC in total bench points and bench points per game. The reserves have accounted for 42.9 percent of the Tide's scoring, with senior Cierra Johnson (9.0 ppg) leading the bench.

• The Razorbacks have been ranked in the top-25 for the entire 2019-20 season with a season high ranking of No. 20.
• Chelsea Dungee leads Arkansas with 19 points and five rebounds per game, in addition some of the top three-point shooters in the country also score in bunches for the Razorbacks with Amber Ramirez and Alexis Tolefree averaging 14.2 points per game respectively. As a team, Arkansas has the best transition offense in the country.
• Head Coach Mike Neighbors is in his third season with the Razorbacks, while compiling a 51-37 record and a 149-78 career mark.
