Alabama Women’s Tennis Hosts Saturday Doubleheader Against Indiana and Lipscomb

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team is set to host another doubleheader when Indiana and Lipscomb come to the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Tennis Facility on Saturday. The Crimson Tide (2-0) will take on the Hoosiers (0-0) at 10 a.m. and then the Bisons (0-0) at 6 p.m.

Alabama is coming off of two sweeps against Kennesaw State and Alabama A&M on Saturday, Jan. 18 to begin its 2020 season.
Three newcomers earned their first two career dual match singles wins with Isabella Harvison, Ares Teixido and Sasha Gorchanyuk all going 2-0 last weekend. Junior Moka Ito and senior Ann Selim also finished singles a perfect 2-0.
In doubles, No. 51 Harvison/Ito went 2-0 in the No. 1 spot to lead the Crimson Tide.

Opponent Info

Indiana has several new faces to its roster with four freshmen on its 2020 team. This is the sixth-ever meeting between the Hoosiers and Crimson Tide and the first since 1997.
Lipscomb was picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic Sun Conference and also opens its dual match season on Saturday against the Tide. The Bisons and Crimson Tide played last year with Alabama taking the 4-0 victory on Feb. 10 in Tuscaloosa.
