Crimson Tide return to the Birmingham CrossPlex Friday morning
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama track & field will return to the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. for the Samford Invitational Friday morning. Competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. CT with the women's weight throw. Running events will begin at noon and conclude with the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays at approximately 4:00 p.m. CT.

"We had several strong performances last weekend at the UAB Blazer Invitational and we look forward to building off that by traveling a lot of our student-athletes to Birmingham this weekend."
Last Time Out
- Alabama opened the 2020 indoor season at the UAB Blazer Invitational on Jan. 10, winning six individual events and one relay, as well as setting a NCAA top-five performance.
- The first meet of the decade was highlighted by Tamara Clark's performance in the 300-meter dash. Clark's time of 36.56 is the fifth-fastest performance in NCAA history, and she became the third-fastest performer all-time.
- Sophomores Chago Basso (shot put) and Bobby Colantonio Jr. (weight throw) claimed victories for men's throws.
- Also picking up wins in their respective events were Paul Selden (men's 5000 meter), Robert Dunning (men's 60-meter hurdles), Leander Forbes (men's 500-meter dash) and the men's 4x400-meter relay made up of Dunning and juniors Champion Allison, Joshua St. Clair and Leander Forbes.
