Volleyball Returns Home to Face Arkansas Sunday in Tuscaloosa

Scouting Alabama
- Alabama is 8-4 after dropping its Southeastern Conference opener at Texas A&M last Tuesday
- After only playing in Foster Auditorium once so far this season, three of Alabama's next six matches will be on its home court
- Six of the Tide's eight victories this season have been sweeps
- The Crimson Tide returns 11 players from last season's team, including starters Doris Carter, Meghan Neelon, Kaylee Thomas, Ginger Perinar and Hayley McSparin

- Alabama dropped a pair of close decisions to Texas A&M, falling by scores of 25-20 and 25-19 before rallying with a late push in the third to win, 25-23, and send the match to a fourth set. An early 8-0 run from the Aggies gave the home team plenty of cushion in the fourth however, allowing them to hold on and win, 25-19, to claim the four-set victory
- Graduate transfer Eva Borrowdale tied her season high with 11 kills along with a .417 clip and a pair of blocks
- Sophomore Erin Curl and freshman Alyiah Wells were tied with nine kills each, combining for seven blocks while senior Hayley McSparin stuffed a season-high six blocks
- Freshman Emily Janek made her Tide debut, pacing the offense with 22 assists

Moving up the UA Career Records
- Senior Hayley McSparin is already among the top 10 at Alabama in career attack percentage (7th - .303) and solo blocks (9th - 62), just one shy of moving up to 8th in the latter, and she is currently 17 blocks and 11 block assists shy of moving into the top 10 in those respective categories
- With 810 career digs, junior Kaylee Thomas is 39 away from cracking the top-20, with her 2.90 digs-per-set average already ranked 10th

Finding a Home at Foster
- Since moving back into a renovated Foster Auditorium in 2011, Alabama has compiled an 83-40 (.675) record on its home court
- Seven of the previous eight seasons have seen double-digit win totals, including a program-best 12 in 2016
- Attendance has surged since the Tide's move back to Foster Auditorium as well, welcoming over 12,000 fans in five of the last seven seasons after surpassing 10,000 just once prior to 2011
Career Win No. 300 for Lindsey Devine
- The Sept. 14 win over Alcorn State marked career win No. 300 for head coach Lindsey Devine
- She currently owns a 300-222 (.575) mark, posting a 292-218 record in 16 seasons at East Tennessee State and an 8-4 mark in her first season at the helm of the Crimson Tide
