
Andie Daniell to Begin NCAA Singles Championships on Monday

Daniell has a first round matchup with the No. 1 overall seed, Estela Perez-Somarriba (Miami Fla.)
ORLANDO, Fla. – Senior No. 36 Andie Daniell will take on No. 1 overall seed Estela Perez-Somarriba of Miami (Fla.) in the first round of the NCAA Singles Championships on Monday, May 20 at 3 p.m. CT at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Daniell is currently ranked No. 36 in the latest Oracle/ITA Singles Rankings and has won her last eight matches. The Douglasville, Ga., native has a 15-5 record during the dual match season, including an 11-6 mark against top-125 opponents. Daniell is seeking her first win in the NCAA Singles Championships after making a first round exit back in 2016.
Perez-Somarriba is set to make her third appearance in the NCAA Singles Championship and will become the 10th Hurricane's player with at least that many berths. She reached the Final Four in 2017 and the Sweet 16 in 2018.
The match will be aired live on the Tennis Channel with Daniell playing on court six. The broadcast will be jumping around to each of the six matches and the Tennis Channel will be the only way to view those matches.
