
No. 21 Alabama Concludes Stroke Play at Liz Murphey, Preps for Match Play on Friday

Crimson Tide will open stroke play portion against Daytona State
ATHENS, Ga. – Junior Jiwon Jeon and sophomore Angelica Moresco both finished among the top-10 individuals to lead the No. 21 Alabama women's golf team in Thursday's stroke play round at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. As a team, the Crimson Tide finished with a total of 306 following the tournament's lone round of stroke play and will now turn its focus to the match play portion, which will tee off Friday morning.
Jeon, fresh off her appearance at the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur last week, finished stroke play fifth overall with a 1-under par 71. It was her 10th round of par or lower this season, pulling her into a tie with Moresco for tops on the Alabama team.
Moresco also had a solid round, finishing tied for seventh overall at 1-over 73 on the par 72, 6,279-yard University of Georgia Golf Course. Junior Kenzie Wright tied for 55th with an 80, while junior Anna Reid (82) and freshman Mary Mac Trammell (85) rounded out the Alabama golfers in 55th and 58th, respectively.
Alabama will open the match play portion of the event against Daytona State at 8:22 a.m. CT (9:22 a.m. ET), followed by Denver in the second match of the day, which is set to tee off at 1:35 p.m. CT (2:35 p.m. ET). The final match of the three-day event will take place Saturday morning as Alabama squares off with Iowa beginning at 8:22 a.m. CT (9:22 a.m. ET).
