COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Alabama women's tennis team (10-5, 0-2 Southeastern Conference) fell by a final score of 4-0 to the No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies (14-1, 2-0 SEC) Sunday afternoon at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

The Aggies won the doubles point thanks to a 6-1 decision on court three, Riley McQuaid and Lucia Quiterio defeated juniors Ann Selim and Kimberley Gintrand. The Crimson Tide's senior Andie Daniell and sophomore Moka Ito put up a fight on court one, before falling 7-6(3) to Jayci Goldsmith and Tatiana Makarova.

Texas A&M maintained control of the match by taking five of the six first sets in singles action. The matchup on court six was the first completed, as Dorthea Faa-Hviding won 6-0, 6-3 over Gintrand. Renee McBryde extended her team's lead by defeating Selim, 6-2, 6-4 at the fourth position, and McQuaid clinched the team victory for the Aggies with a 6-0, 6-3 decision on court five.

Up next, Alabama will begin its SEC home slate on Friday, when it faces No. 25 Kentucky at 5 p.m. CT. The contest will be streamed on RollTide.com and will be played at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
