Alabama Finishes Up Non-Conference Slate with Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday

The Crimson Tide and Lady Lions will tip off at 2 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama returns from the holiday break with its final non-conference game against Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. CT inside Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide (9-3) enter the matchup winning its last four games, while the Lady Lions (4-6, 1-1 Southland) are coming off their first conference victory of the season.
This is the second time the two teams have met over the last two seasons and the 12th overall. Last year, Alabama downed the Lady Lions 88-40 in the 2018-19 season opener, 88-40, on Nov. 7 in Tuscaloosa. The Tide has won its last nine matchups with the Lady Lions including all eight contests on Alabama's home floor.

• The Tide has scored by committee with six different players averaging 7.8 points or more on the season. Leading the way is redshirt junior guard Jordan Lewis with 12.6 points, while junior Jasmine Walker is scoring 10.6 points per contest.
• The Crimson Tide is 31-8 all-time against current Southland teams, with its last game against a conference foe coming on Dec. 16, 2018 against Northwestern State.
• Alabama ranks fifth in the SEC and 24th in the nation in free throws attempted, while coming in at No. 4 in the conference and No. 16 in the country in free throw makes. The team is also fourth in the SEC in free throw percentage at 70.6 percent. The Tide is in the top-5 of the SEC in three different categories from the three-point line, including attempts (No. 5), makes (No. 4) and makes per game (No. 4).
• The Alabama bench has outscored its opponents, 407-204, in 12 games this season. The reserves have accounted for 46 percent of the Tide's scoring, with its third and fifth scorers in senior Cierra Johnson (9.2) and sophomore Brittany Davis (8.7) leading the way.
• Senior Ashley Knight currently has 195 career blocks, which is the most actively in the SEC and at Alabama. Knight already has more blocks this season (26), than she did all of last season (20). She has started the last two games and averaged an impressive nine points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks.

• Before the holiday break, Southeastern Louisiana defeated Houston Baptist, 69-59, to move to 1-1 in Southland play this year.
• The Lady Lions have two players averaging double figures with Celica Sterling putting up 13.9 points and Jyar Francis adding 11.3 points per contest.
