Volleyball Hosts Missouri and Tennessee this Weekend in Tuscaloosa

SCOUTING ALABAMA
- Alabama is 12-9 overall and 4-6 in Southeastern Conference play with eight matches remaining in its regular season slate
- The Crimson Tide snapped a four-match losing streak with a five-set win at home against Ole Miss on Sunday, Nov. 3
- The match against the Rebels marked the start of a three-match home stand for the Tide, with five of the remaining eight matches of the season taking place at Foster Auditorium

- Alabama and Ole Miss split the first two sets, with the Crimson Tide taking the opener, 25-23, before falling to the Rebels in the second, 25-20
- A 25-18 victory in the third gave Alabama a 2-1 match advantage but Ole Miss pulled through in a close fourth set, 25-22, to force a deciding fifth
- The Tide saved its best performance for last, hitting .444 in the deciding frame while holding Ole Miss to a .056 clip and, with the support of a raucous Foster Auditorium crowd, Alabama cruised to a 15-9 victory to win the match in five
- As a team, Alabama tallied a season-best 67 kills and stuffed 18 blocks, its second-highest total of the season
- With 17 kills and 11 digs, junior Doris Carter earned her fourth double-double of the season, while freshman Alyiah Wells earned her first boasting 15 kills and 11 blocks
- In the back row, freshman PG Garrison dug 15 balls and added a pair of service aces while senior Kaylee Thomas led all players with 21 digs, putting her 39 away from 1,000 for her career

HAYLEY MCSPARIN MARCHES TOWARDS 1,000 CAREER KILLS
- Senior Hayley McSparin surpassed the 900-career-kills mark in the Oct. 18 match against LSU and currently sits at 937
- She is the 18th player in program history to break the 900-kill mark and the first since Kat Hutson (2014-16)
- McSparin is four kills shy of 17th-place Alyssa Meuth (2007-10) and 38 away from Hutson in 16th place
- She is also among the top 10 at Alabama in career attack percentage (7th - .302), total blocks (10th - 329), solo blocks (7th - 66) and block assists (9th - 263)
- She is just the fifth player in program history to rank in the top 10 in each of those categories
FINDING A HOME AT FOSTER
- Since moving back into a renovated Foster Auditorium in 2011, Alabama has compiled an 86-41 (.677) record on its home court
- The last seven seasons have seen double-digit win totals, including a program-best 12 in 2016
- Attendance has surged since the Tide's move back to Foster Auditorium as well, welcoming over 12,000 fans in five of the last seven seasons after surpassing 10,000 just once prior to 2011

Alabama begins a string of three-straight matches on the road, starting Friday, Nov. 15 against Missouri at 7 p.m. CT. The Tide then heads to Fayetteville, Ark., to face Arkansas on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
