Alabama Finishes Fall Season at CCB Collegiate Invitational on Sunday

The Crimson Tide picked up three singles wins to close out the tournament
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team finished its fall season with the conclusion of the CCB Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham on Sunday.
Round-by-Round
- Junior Jeremy Gschwendtner won his third match of the CCB Invite with a three-set win over Michal Lusovsky of UAB, 2-6, 6-2 ,6-3. Junior Sam Fischer also won his match in three sets after defeating Cotter Wilson from Ole Miss, 5-7, 7-6(5), 6-4. Freshman Avi Shugar came out victorious in consolations against Pierce Gilheany of Louisiana, 6-4, 6-3.
- In doubles, Fischer/Shugar fell in the White Doubles Draw Final against Badra/Este of ETSU, 8-6.

- The Crimson Tide will begin its dual match season on Jan. 18 with a doubleheader against UAB and Chattanooga inside the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Facility.
