
Back on the Road, Alabama Heads to New Orleans to Play Tulane Sunday

The Crimson Tide will play the Green Wave Sunday at 4 p.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Crimson Tide is set to play its third road game of the season when it travels to New Orleans to take on Tulane at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday inside the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Alabama enters the game on a three-game win streak after dropping its season opener while the Green Wave is 3-2.
Sunday's matchup will be the 14th meeting between the two programs, with Alabama leading the all-time series 9-4, including winning the last two. However, the last three times the Crimson Tide has gone to New Orleans, the Green Wave has come out with the victory. Last year, the Tide downed Tulane 69-58 on Dec. 8 in Tuscaloosa.

• The Crimson Tide has won its last three games including going 2-0 on the road, while the Green Wave snapped its two-game losing streak with a 65-38 home victory over Central Arkansas on Friday.
• Through four games senior Cierra Johnson is the only Tide player averaging double figures with 13.5 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals each time out. Alabama has five other players averaging at least 7.0 points per contest
• Alabama is on three-game win streak since dropping its season opener to Hampton. UA has won back-to-back regular season non-conference road games (at Clemson, at South Alabama) for the first time since 2002. The last time the Tide won three or more straight non-conference road contests was back in 2000.
• UA has won all three of its games by double figures and is averaging 84 points per game during the three-game span.
• After getting off to slow starts in the first quarters of its first three games of the season, the Tide have found success in the second quarter. Alabama is outscoring its opponents 103-46 in the second frame.
• Alabama's depth has been a key factor in the first four games of the season, with the bench outscoring UA's starters, 167-146.
About Tulane
• Tulane is coming off of its 65-38 win over Central Arkansas on Friday. In addition to its win on Friday, the Green Wave has victories against Jackson State and Washington, while falling to Middle Tennessee and LSU.
• The Green Wave is led by Arsula Clark who is averaging 17.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Tulane also has double-digit scorers in Krystal Freeman (12.4 ppg) and Sierra Cheatham (10.0 ppg).
• Head Coach Lisa Stockton is in her 26th season at the helm and 29th year as a head coach. Stockton has tallied 511 wins at Tulane, while leading the Green Wave to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances.
