The Crimson Tide will compete in its second and final fall regatta in Chattanooga
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Rowing team will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn. to compete in its final regatta of the fall season, the Head of the Hooch. The Tide will participate in four races on Saturday and three on Sunday.
This is the 13th time in program history that Alabama will compete in the Head of the Hooch, dating back to 2006. Over 100 collegiate rowing teams and clubs will participate over the course of the weekend.
From Head Coach Glenn Putyrae
"We are looking forward to a great weekend of racing and the opportunity to see what kind of progress we have made in the last month. This is the first race representing UA for our walk-ons. They went through a rigorous try-out process and are excited to be representing the Tide in competition. There has been some great competition within the team on and off the water and our athletes are ready to race athletes from other programs after doing so much racing internally."
