Alabama Women’s Tennis Finishes Up Play at ITA Regionals

The Crimson Tide totaled seven wins in singles and doubles in consolations on Sunday
BATON ROUGE, La. – The Alabama women's tennis team went a perfect 5-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles consolations on the final day at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday.
Round-by-Round
- Freshman Ares Teixido dropped her quarterfinal matchup in the singles main draw against Paris Corley of LSU in straight sets.
- In consolations, junior Moka Ito, freshman Isabella Harvison, senior Luca Fabian and senior Alba Cortina Pou all earned straight set victories. Senior Ann Selim also battled to the 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) win over Nina Geissler from LSU.
- In the doubles back draw, Selim/Fabian earned an 8-6 win over Hecking/Hermann of UAB, while Ito/Harvison bested Chen/Ansari of Auburn, 8-6.
