As a team, Alabama takes home second place
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Senior Kenzie Wright's second-place finish Sunday propelled the Alabama women's golf team to a runner-up showing at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Course.
In the Crimson Tide's best finish as a team this season, Alabama turned in an 11-under par 853 (283-280-290) performance to finish just one stroke behind tournament champion Michigan State (286-277-289/852).
Coaches Corner – UA Head Coach Mic Potter
"Of course, you always want to win, but the way the girls battled through adversity at the end of the round to finish second was impressive! There are a number of technical issues that we need to clean up, so the best is yet to come for this team. It was a great tournament for Kenzie Wright and should give her a lot of confidence going forward."
