
Alabama Women’s Tennis Places Seven on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team for Second Consecutive Year

The Crimson Tide was also recognized as an All-Academic Team
TEMPE, Ariz. – For the second consecutive year the Alabama women's tennis team had seven members earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete status this season while the Crimson Tide also earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
The seven listed as 2017-18 ITA Scholar Athletes include Ann Selim, Alba Cortina-Pou, Andie Daniell, Luca Fabian, Kimberley Gintrand, Kylie Moulin and Jacqueline Pelletier.
The Crimson Tide's seven honorees from 2017-18 ties for 12th among the women's NCAA Division I schools that had at least one ITA Scholar-Athlete this season, while also tying for first among Southeastern Conference teams.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2016 and spring 2017).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: Be a varsity letter winner; have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year; and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
