Jeff Allen Presented with NATA Division I Athletic Trainer of the Year Award

NEW ORLEANS – Alabama Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine Jeff Allen accepted his NCAA Division I Head Athletic Trainer of the Year award this week at the National Athletic Trainers' Association Convention.
Allen, who is entering his 12th season with the Crimson Tide, was formally announced as this year's recipient of the award on March 29.
In addition to his work in the training room and on the field, Allen has authored several published articles and is a regular speaker at national and state athletic training conferences. He had work published by The Journal of Athletic Training and Athletic Therapy Today and has served as a featured speaker at conferences held by the NATA and the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association, as well as state meetings in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. Allen was also instrumental in the vision and development of the SidelinER, the collapsible tent used for athlete examinations on the sidelines.
