Nick Saban and Mark Ingram to Represent Alabama at 2018 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge

Duo will be part of a field competing for $650,000 in scholarship and charity
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football coach Nick Saban and former Crimson Tide Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram will again represent the Crimson Tide in the 12th annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament April 29-May 2. The duo is competing for a share of a $650,000 total purse, and the team's winnings will be split between the Nick's Kids Foundation and an endowed scholarship at the University of Alabama. Saban and Ingram previously partnered to represent UA at the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 tournaments.
Over the past 11 years, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge has provided a total of $6.8 million in scholarship and charity. Proceeds from the event benefit endowed scholarships at the participating universities and charitable foundations selected by the coaches, benefitting a wide range of organizations throughout the nation.
Highlighted by eight Dodd Trophy recipients, two Heisman Trophy winners and a total of 10 national championships won among the coaches. Saban and Ingram will be part of a field that includes Georgia's Kirby Smart, Clemson's Dabo Swinney, Auburn's Gus Malzahn, Florida's Dan Mullen, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly and Ole Miss' Matt Luke.
This year's event will also include a Legends Tournament that will feature 10 former college football coaches who will be vying for a share of a $50,000 purse that will go toward their selected charities. The Legends field includes former SEC coaches Steve Spurrier (Florida, South Carolina), Tommy Tuberville (Auburn) and Bobby Johnson (Vanderbilt). Other former coaches in the field include Frank Beamer (Virginia Tech), Mack Brown (Texas) and Bob Stoops (Oklahoma)
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge will be held at the Reynolds Lake Oconee resort outside Atlanta. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN in August and December. Specific air dates will be announced this summer.
