AUBURN, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team fell to the No. 13th-ranked Auburn Tigers, 4-0, Friday afternoon at Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Auburn (16-5, 4-1 SEC) took the 1-0 advantage over Alabama (13-8, 0-5 SEC) after capturing the doubles point by winning a tough match at No. 1. Junior Andie Daniell and freshman Kylie Moulin took care of business early, downing Axon/Turner, 6-2, at No. 2, but the Tigers snagged the match at No. 3, defeating senior Smith Hinton and sophomore Jacqueline Pelletier, 6-4.

For the doubles point, the sophomore duo of Ann Selim and Alba Cortina-Pou battled back from a 4-1 deficit to tie the set at five apiece, but Auburn's 70th-ranked doubles pair in the nation won two-straight sets to secure the point.

In singles, Auburn won the first three matches to seal the deal. The Tigers' 80th-ranked singles player in the nation, Jaeda Daniel, extended their lead by two after topping Hinton, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2. Then, AU captured back-to-back singles matches at No. 4 and No. 6, simultaneously, for the win. On court four, Auburn's Andie Dikosavljevic defeated Selim, 6-4, 6-4, while on court six, Georgie Axon topped Moulin, 6-2, 6-4.

Up next, Alabama will host the reigning NCAA Champions No. 18 Florida on March 22 at 5 p.m. CT, and will then face No. 10 South Carolina on March 24 at 1 p.m. CT at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
