The Crimson Tide will compete against the Bulldogs on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Tigers on Sunday at 1 p.m.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 38 Alabama men's tennis team is back home to take on No. 15 Mississippi State (Friday at 6 p.m.) and in-state rival Auburn (Sunday at 1 p.m.) at the Alabama Tennis Stadium this weekend.

The Crimson Tide is looking to end its four-match skid, after beginning the season 14-0. The Tide has narrowly lost by a score of 4-3 in three of its last four matches.

In doubles play this season, UA has been led by the No. 31 doubles pair in the country in junior Mazen Osama and sophomore Edson Ortiz who have compiled a 12-1 record, while playing all matches in the No. 1 spot. The duo is 2-1 in SEC play and 1-0 against nationally ranked opponents. The sophomore tandem of Alexey Nesterov and Thibault Cancel also ranks as the No. 46 doubles team in the nation.

Individually, Osama ranks as the No. 92 singles player in the country, while holding a 7-3 record in 2018. During the spring season, Ortiz leads the team with a 14-1 record and Nesterov has a 12-2 mark.

As a team, Alabama moved back one spot to No. 38 in the most recent Oracle/ITA Team Rankings that were released on Tuesday.

Alabama will look to win its first match against the Bulldogs since 2010, falling in the last eight contests. The Crimson Tide is seeking revenge after falling to the Tigers in Auburn, Ala., a season ago.

Mississippi State has three ranked singles players in No. 4 Nuno Borges, No. 23 Giovanni Oradini and No. 82 Strahinja Rakic, the Bulldogs also have a ranked duo in No. 59 Trevor Foshey and Florian Broska. Meanwhile the Tigers have one nationally-ranked singles player in No. 104 Matteo DeVincentis.
