Alabama’s Lauren Stephenson and Kristen Gillman Named to ANNIKA Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior Lauren Stephenson and freshman Kristen Gillman have been named to the initial spring watch list for the 2018 ANNIKA Award, the ANNIKA Foundation announced Thursday.
Through five tournaments this season, Stephenson has a team-leading scoring average of 68.93 with five top-10 finishes, including four in the top-three and one tournament victory. Gillman is second on the squad with a 69.57 average, five top-10 finishes and one victory. The pair are also tied for the team lead in rounds at par or lower with 12 each in 14 rounds played in 2017-18.
The ANNIKA Award has been presented annually since 2014 and honors the outstanding women's collegiate golfer in the United States. The award is named for former college and LPGA golfer Annika Sorenstam.
