
Alabama Track & Field Competes at SEC Indoor Championships this Weekend

TUSCALOOSA, ALA. – The Alabama track & field teams will send 41 student-athletes (21 men, 20 women) to the 2018 Southeastern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Texas A&M's Gilliam Indoor Track & Field Stadium in College Station, Texas, Feb. 24-25.
The battle for the SEC crown will get underway on Saturday with the men's heptathlon at 11 a.m. CT. Field events begin Saturday at 3 p.m. with the men's weight throw and women's pole vault. Running events will also start at 3 p.m. with prelims in the men's 60-meter hurdles. On Sunday, the men's heptathlon begins at 2:30 p.m. field events start at 5 p.m., while running events get under way at 5:01 p.m.

Live results for the SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships can be found at flashresults.com. Additionally, the meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+ Saturday, Feb. 24 from 2:55 p.m.-7:15 p.m. CT and will air on the SEC Network on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. CT.
Alabama in the National Rankings
The Alabama men's track & field team is ranked No. 8, while the Crimson Tide women are No. 17 in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regular-season indoor rankings released Feb. 19.
