
Alabama Football Holds Final On-Campus Practice Prior to Capital One Orange Bowl

Crimson Tide will break for the weekend before traveling to South Florida
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Crimson Tide held its final practice prior to the holiday break on Thursday, working in a brief morning session at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
Thursday's practice was the seventh and final bowl practice in Tuscaloosa before the holiday break and one of 12 practices overall prior to the College Football Playoff Semifinal against No. 4 Oklahoma in the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The top-ranked Crimson Tide will face off with Sooners on Saturday, Dec. 29 with the game airing live on ESPN at 7 p.m. CT. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call the semifinal matchup from the booth, while Maria Taylor and Laura Rutledge will work each team's sideline.
Also on Thursday, Alabama tight ends and special teams coach Jeff Banks was named FootballScoop.com's Special Teams Coordinator of the Year. In his first season with the Tide, Banks has UA's special teams units ranked fifth in punt return defense, ninth in punt return average and 25th in kick return average.
Alabama will break for the weekend before holding its first practice in South Florida on Dec. 24.
