Week 17 concluded the 2017-18 NFL regular season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The final week of the 2017-18 season in the National Football League wrapped up on Sunday. Below is a look at some of the highlights from former Crimson Tide players currently in the League. Â
Amari Cooper came up big last Sunday, crossing the century mark in receiving yards for the 11th time in his career as the Oakland Raiders fell to the Los Angeles Chargers, 30-10. The former Biletnikoff Award winner finished with three catches for 115 yards and a touchdown, with his score coming on an 87-yard pass.
Eddie Jackson put together a strong performance in his campaign for Rookie of the Year, posting a season-high 10 tackles in the Chicago Bears' 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The first-year safety finished the season ranking third on the Chicago defensive unit in total tackles with 73.
Julio Jones continued his steady play, hauling in five catches for 80 yards as the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Carolina Panthers, 22-10, on their way to clinching the final NFC Playoff spot. With the effort, Jones surpassed 9,000 career receiving yards in just 95 games played, becoming the fastest to do so in NFL history. The All-Pro wideout finished the regular season with 1,444 receiving yards to lead the NFC for the fourth consecutive season.
The 2017-18 NFL playoffs will feature 10 former Crimson Tide standouts including: Mark Barron (Los Angeles Rams), Marcell Dareus (Jacksonville Jaguars), Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans), Mark Ingram (New Orleans Saints), Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons), Reggie Ragland (Kansas City Chiefs), Cam Robinson (Jacksonville Jaguars), Courtney Upshaw (Atlanta Falcons), Chance Warmack (Philadelphia Eagles) and T.J. Yeldon (Jacksonville Jaguars).
