Alabama Women’s Tennis Kicks Off 2017 Fall Slate at Rice Invitational

Six student-athletes will represent the Crimson Tide in Houston
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team will begin its 2017 fall slate this weekend when they travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the Rice Invitational. The three-day competition starts Friday, Sept. 22 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 24 and features 12 different teams including Alabama, SMU, Oklahoma, UTA, Texas State, UTSA, Kansas, South Florida, Houston, Sam Houston, UNT and Rice.
"We're looking forward to competing in our first fall tournament at Rice this weekend," head coach Jenny Mainz said. "It's a great opportunity to get quality, competitive matches and evaluate things we need to work on. The fall season is a developmental period and an ideal time to build for the spring season. Our goals are to compete well, put into action the things we've been working on in practices and continue growing together as a team."
Representing the Crimson Tide will be senior Smith Hinton, junior Andie Daniell, sophomores Kim Gintrand, Jacqueline Pelletier and Luca Fabian and freshman Kylie Moulin.
