No. 6 Alabama Gymnastics Closes Regular-Season Road Slate at No. 8 Georgia Sunday

ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 6 Alabama gymnastics team closes out its regular-season road schedule with a rare Sunday meet, taking on No. 8 Georgia in Athens Sunday, March 5 at 2 p.m. ET.
"I love competing in Athens, Ga.," UA head coach Dana Duckworth said. "The crowd will be great and the energy will be nice. For our ladies, we want to see them compete purposefully and with intent. I want them to a have a lot of passion."
The meet will be broadcast live on the SEC Network with Holly Rowe and Courtney Kupets calling the action and Lauren Sisler on the sideline.
One of the most storied rivalries in all of collegiate gymnastics, the two teams have won 16 NCAA team titles and 25 Southeastern Conference Championships between them.
Alabama and Georgia last met in the 2016 NCAA Championships Super Six Team Finals, where Alabama finished third (197.4375) and the Bulldogs finished sixth (196.8125). Alabama won the last regular-season meeting between the two teams, 197.550-195.700, in Tuscaloosa on February 26, 2016.
Alabama is 4-1-0 over its last five meets of this season, while Georgia is 3-4 over its last five competitions, including a quad meet. The Bulldogs are the Crimson Tide's sixth top-10 opponent this season.
After closing out its regular-season road slate at Georgia, Alabama returns to Coleman Coliseum for its regular-season finale on Friday, March 10 against Iowa State starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum, and online at RollTide.com.
