A pair of former Crimson Tide teammates cross the century mark on the ground in week 13
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 13th week of the 2017 season in the National Football League wrapped up on Monday. Below is a look at some of the highlights from former Crimson Tide players currently in the League. Â
Kenyan Drake enjoyed a career day, as the Miami Dolphins defeated the Denver Broncos, 35-9. Drake recorded career highs in both rushing attempts and rushing yards, totaling 120 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. The second-year tailback also assisted in the passing game, hauling in three catches for 21 yards.
Joining Drake in crossing the century mark during week 13 was Derrick Henry, who shined for the Tennessee Titans in their 24-13 win over the Houston Texans. The former Heisman Trophy winner rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. His score came on a 75-yard run as the clock was winding down, sealing the victory for the Titans.
Landon Collins continued his impressive play, posting seven tackles, while adding a pass breakup and a fumble recovery to his totals as the New York Giants fell to the Oakland Raiders, 24-17. Also providing a strong effort for the New York defense was rookie defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson, who registered a career-high seven stops, tying with Collins for second-most on the team.
Ha-Ha Clinton Dix notched a season high in tackles, finishing with nine, to rank third on the Green Bay defense as the Packers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 26-20. Clinton-Dix currently ranks second on the Packers' defense in total tackles with 63 on the season.
Reuben Foster had a solid outing for the San Francisco defense in the 49ers' 15-14 victory over the Chicago Bears. The reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month finished with seven tackles to lead team as the 49ers earned their second win of the season. In that same game, rookie safety Eddie Jackson tallied five tackles for the Chicago defense.
A pair of former Crimson Tide standouts put together strong performances for the Baltimore defense, as both Marlon Humphrey and C.J. Mosley helped lead the Ravens to a 44-20 win over the Detroit Lions. Humphrey paced the Ravens' defense with a season-high seven tackles and picked off his second pass of the season. Right behind him was Mosley, who finished with six stops to tie for second-most on the team. Mosley is currently tied for fifth in the league in total tackles with 101 entering week 14.
Mark Ingram made his presence known for the New Orleans offense, tallying over 100 all-purpose yards as the Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers, 31-21. Ingram finished with 85 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, while adding a team-high six catches for 37 yards.
