TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Redshirt sophomore Connor Short was able to play his first series this past weekend at Alabama after having to sit out the entire 2015 season due to NCAA transfer rules. The Tide infielder finished the series against Maryland batting .500 (4-8), with two doubles, two RBI, one walk and a run scored while earning two starts and seeing time in all three games.
Short, a native of Hoover, Ala. initially chose to attend Auburn out of high school, where he spent his freshman season before transferring to the Capstone. His father, Ben Short, is a former star pitcher for the Tide and had a major impact on Connor's baseball career growing up and even up to today.
