
Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 11

Former Alabama players continue to rank among league leaders on both sides of the ball
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Below is a look at some of the highlights from last week by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Landon Collins continued his impressive play, recording six tackles, an interception and two pass breakups in the New York Giants' 22-16 victory over the Chicago Bears. This was the fourth straight week Collins has hauled in an interception, grabbing five during the streak. He is the third player in team history to record an interception in four consecutive games and the first since Willie Williams in 1968.
The starting safety of the Giants, Collins is currently enjoying an All-Pro season in 2016, recording 80 tackles, five interceptions, three sacks and 10 pass breakups. He leads all secondary defenders in tackles, interceptions and sacks.
Playing in the Monday night game in Mexico City, second-year wideout Amari Cooper enjoyed another solid game, recording four catches for 57 yards including the game-winning touchdown as the Oakland Raiders defeated the Houston Texans 27-20 on Monday Night Football. For the season, Cooper has hauled in 62 passes for 900 yards and three touchdowns. The Pro Bowler currently ranks second among receivers in yards after the catch (360), fifth in receiving yards (900) and sixth in catches (62).
A pair of former Crimson Tide teammates went head-to-head last week, as Dre Kirkpatrick and the Cincinnati Bengals welcomed the Buffalo Bills and Marcell Dareus to town.
Kirkpatrick grabbed an interception for the second consecutive week to go along with two tackles and a pass breakup in the Bengals' loss to the Bills, 16-12. On the season, Kirkpatrick has 29 tackles, three interceptions and six pass breakups. His three picks lead the Bengals' defense and match a career high.Â
Playing in just his second game this season, Dareus made his presence known by notching four stops, including a sack, in the Bills victory over Cincinnati. He also knocked down one pass to help lead Buffalo to their fifth win of the season.
C.J. Mosley finished with seven tackles, including a tackle for loss, in the Baltimore Ravens' 27-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. On the season, Mosley has 47 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups. His three picks currently leads all linebackers in the NFL.
Leading the Los Angeles defense in tackles once again, Mark Barron notched 11 stops and a pass breakup in the Rams' 14-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Dont'a Hightower recorded six tackles, including a sack, and a forced fumble to help lead the New England Patriots to a 30-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
