Alabama Football Begins Game Planning for Saturday’s Contest with Chattanooga

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team worked two hours in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields on Tuesday afternoon as part of this week's preparation for Chattanooga.
The Crimson Tide will welcome the Mocs to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday for a 6:05 p.m. CT kickoff. The game will air live on ESPN2 with Dave Neal, Matt Stinchcomb and Olivia Harlan covering the action. Chattanooga enters Saturday's contest with an 8-2 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the Southern Conference.
Alabama has won all 12 meetings with Chattanooga, including a 49-0 victory in 2013. The Crimson Tide own a 9-0 record in Tuscaloosa against the Mocs and a 3-0 mark in Birmingham. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 2-0 all-time vs. Chattanooga, with wins in 2009 (45-0) and 2013.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster and offensive lineman Cam Robinson were among the 20 nominees for the 2016 Rotary Lombardi Award. The Lombardi Award will be presented this year to the top player in college football, regardless of position. Prior to 2016, the award was presented to the top college offensive or defensive lineman.
Finalists for this year's award will be announced a later date. Cornelius Bennett is Alabama's lone Lombardi Award winner. The College Football Hall of Famer was the 1986 recipient.
