Summer Baseball Begins for 15 Crimson Tide Players

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama baseball will have 15 players spotted across the United States this summer playing in four separate collegiate leagues.
Freshman Zack Coker will play with for the North Delta Dealers of the Cotton States League, while four more freshman will head to the Florida League this summer. Cody Henry, Tyler McMurray, Zac Rogers and Alex Watkins will travel together as members of the Altamonte Springs Boom.
Playing in the Texas League this summer will be Taylor Poe, Connor Short, Chance Vincent and Tyler Adams. Poe, Short and Vincent will all see action with the Acadiana (La.) Cane Cutters, while Adams will join the East Texas Pumpjacks.
The largest contingent of Crimson Tide players will head to the prestigious Cape Cod League, with six total spending their summers in "The Cape". Reliever Thomas Burrows will play for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks while freshman Chandler Avant will join the Brewster Whitecaps, and Geoffrey Bramblett is slated for action with the Harwich Mariners. The Cotuit Kettleers will host a trio of Alabama players, including Nick Eicholtz, Will Haynie and the Tide's 2015 RBI and hits leader, Casey Hughston.
