Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 12

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 12th week of the season in the National Football League featured a pair of conference matchups that pitted former Alabama standouts against one another, including the St. Louis Rams at Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans. Below is a look at some of the highlights from last week by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Mark Barron once again led the Rams in tackles, notching 10 stops in the loss to the Bengals. Barron has continued to shine after transitioning from safety to linebacker, currently ranking second on the team in tackles with 80 and leading the Rams with 53 solo stops.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix led the Green Bay Packers in tackles with eight stops in a 17-13 loss to the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day. Clinton-Dix continues to have an impressive season as he leads the Packer defense and ranks fourth among all safeties with 80 tackles.
Landon Collins continues to produce for the New York Giants, finishing with nine stops, including two for a loss as the Giants fell to the Washington Redskins, 20-14. Collins leads the Giants defense in tackles with 70 and is third among all rookies.
Amari Cooper reeled in seven passes for 115 yards in the Oakland Raiders' 24-21 win over the Tennessee Titans. He caught a 30-yard pass in the second quarter to break Oakland's franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie that was set by James Jett in 1993 (771). For the season, Cooper has 58 catches for 851 yards and four touchdowns. The first-year standout leads all rookie wideouts in those three categories.
Kareem Jackson made an impact in his return after a four-game absence due to injury, intercepting a pass in the end zone late in the fourth quarter to secure the Texans 24-6 win over the Saints. The veteran corner also added four tackles and a pass breakup in the victory.
Dre Kirkpatrick was all over the field for the Bengals, recording a team-high 10 tackles and three pass breakups in a 31-7 win over the Rams. Kirkpatrick leads the team in pass breakups with 11.
Eddie Lacy crossed the century mark for the second straight week, finishing with 105 yards on 17 carries and catching four passes for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Packers loss to the Bears.
Rolando McClain led the Dallas Cowboys defense with a season-high 12 stops, including three for a loss, and contributed one pass breakup in a 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Thanksgiving Day.
C.J. Mosley led the Ravens defense with seven tackles, including two for a loss, in Baltimore's 33-27 last-second victory over the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.
