Baseball Scrimmages Friday, One More Set for Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama baseball team is wrapping up week three of fall practice with scrimmages on both Friday and Saturday. Thurdsay's first scrimmage of the week was highlighted by solid hitting and pitching for both teams with Friday's featuring some strong pitching early on followed by some timely hitting the close out the day.
The Crimson Tide began work at 1:30 p.m. CT this afternoon and featured a pair of key starting pitchers from a year ago, with sophomore Jake Walters pitching for the Crimson Team and junior Geoffrey Bramblett on the mound for Gray.
Saturday's practice is scheduled to start around 9 a.m. set to begin at 10:30 a.m. CT. Senior Jake Hubbard will be throwing for the Crimson Team, while junior transfer Matt Foster will toe the rubber for Gray. The two scrimmages close out the third full week of the fall for Alabama baseball.
With the on-going construction at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, fans are asked to avoid entering the ballpark and construction zone. At the moment, practice is not open to the public.
