Alabama Softball Fan Appreciation Day Set for January 25

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball fans will have a special opportunity to get ready for the 2014 season at Alabama Softball Appreciation Day, set for Saturday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m.
Fans will have an opportunity to meet the Alabama softball team and coaching staff and tour the indoor facility. Posters and schedule cards will be available for fans while supplies last and everyone will have a chance to win fun door prizes. Trivia tickets will also be available for purchase, with one lucky fan winning a chance to join the coaching staff for lunch by correctly answering Alabama softball trivia.
Players will sign autographs prior to Head Coach Patrick Murphy addressing the crowd and previewing the 2014 season. The Diamond Backers Booster Club will be providing refreshments from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The team will conclude the day with a Crimson and White scrimmage that all fans are encouraged to stay and watch.
Fans must enter the main gate at Rhoads Stadium, where tickets will be available to purchase. Tickets cost $5 for Diamond Backers, $8 for non-members (children ages five and under are free) or $30 for families. The Diamond Backers will have Booster Club information available if any fans are interested in signing up for the official booster club of Alabama softball. Parking will be available in the tennis and softball parking lots as well as the north side of Campus Drive.
