"I am excited to play our first home game of the season," said junior Anthony Steen. "I am looking forward to playing in front of our fans."
Earlier in the day, junior Dee Milliner received more national recognition following his performance against Michigan as he was named the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week. Milliner recorded five tackles with one interception while breaking up four passes in the season opener. He returned the interception 35 yards to the Michigan 17-yard line, setting up the Tide's third score of the first quarter and a 21-0 lead. In addition, Milliner helped limit the Wolverines to just 268 yards of total offense.
"I felt great about my game and came out and competed like I wanted to," said Milliner of his performance. "As a team I thought we did great also to come out the way we did and play against a great team like Michigan."
Coverage for Saturday's game will begin at 2:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. Mike Morgan and Chris Doering will have the call, while Jill Montgomery will be reporting live from the sidelines.
