
Women's Golf to Play in Fall Preview Starting Friday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's golf team travels to Athens, Ga., this weekend to compete in the Liz Murphey Fall Preview at the par-72, 6,335-yard University of Georgia Golf Course.
The Fall Preview is hosted annually at the site of the NCAA Championships taking place the following spring. This year, the Liz Murphey Fall Preview will be played at the UGA Golf Course and hosted by the University of Georgia. The 54-hole tournament will run Friday to Sunday, with 18 holes being played daily.
The Liz Murphey Fall Preview boasts one of the most competitive fields in collegiate golf. Out of the 18 teams competing, 14 are ranked in the most recent Golf World/NGCA Division I Coaches' Poll.
Duke enters the week at No. 1, followed by No. 4 Southern California, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Vanderblit, No. 8 Auburn, No. 9 Purdue, No. 10 UCLA, No. 11 Virginia, No. 12 Georgia, No 18 Tennessee, No. 21 California, No. 22 North Carolina, No. 23 Texas A&M and No. 24 Oklahoma. The rest of the field includes Denver, LSU, South Carolina and Tulane
Senior Jennifer Kirby and junior Stephanie Meadow lead a starting five that boasts junior Hannah Collier, freshman Emma Talley and senior Courtney McKim.
