Opening statement:
"(The loss) was tough. Not just because of the loss, but because of the way we played together. I think the big thing is, and this is what we just got finished talking to the team about, is losing is one thing because someone might outplay you and all that. They didn't necessarily outplay us. I'm not taking anything away from Auburn, but I'm telling you we've played better basketball than what we played tonight. As a group, we didn't have that energy, especially in the second half, to go and believe we could get it done. There was a time we cut it to five or to three, and we just didn't have that energy to push it on over. We've talked about injuries all year, and we're just snake-bit right now. We're going to have them, and that's just part of basketball. Some of our team has worked awful hard to get to this spot. We have to pull each other up and we didn't do that tonight."
On Auburn's dominance in the lane and rebounding:
"They just killed us on the offensive boards. They had 15 offensive rebounds and all those points in the paint. It was just unbelievable. They had some size but the size doesn't matter. That's not what was hurting us. We just weren't doing what we needed to do to box them out, and just didn't play together as a team. That's just the bottom line. I don't sugarcoat anything with this team, and I told them that the effort we gave tonight wasn't anywhere close to the effort we have given in the past. When you don't give the effort the outcome of the game becomes obvious that we're not going to be successful."

On the loss tonight:
"We just didn't play as a team. We started off with the effort, but then in the second half as the game went on we had no energy."
On it being a confidence boost to come out with four steals in the first five minutes of the game:
"I feel like if I continue to play and start, even if I don't start, I want to come out with the same momentum. I want to give energy to the team and just be a leader on defense and offense and do whatever it takes to make it through."
On the surge of confidence when there is momentum in the game:
"When I get steals and I finish it off, I feel confident and ready. It gives me energy to play the next play and every position afterwards."
On the biggest challenges in the second half:
"The biggest challenge was that we didn't have a lot of energy. We came out and played but on into the game we just lost momentum. We started playing selfish and we weren't together as a team on every position so that gave us a downfall.
