TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team continued its preparations for its road matchup with Mississippi by practicing for two hours in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields, Wednesday afternoon.
"We've had a good week so far of work," said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "This is always a difficult preparation in terms of the kind of offense and eight-man front defense they play. We have always had tough games with these guys. I think our players have been focused. It is always challenging to play on the road in the SEC or wherever you play. I think these guys have a talented team that we need to be ready for."
Saban is 3-0 against the Rebels while at the helm of the Crimson Tide program and holds a 7-1 lifetime record against Mississippi. The last time the Tide traveled to Oxford, Alabama put on a defensive display, winning 22-3 on the strength of four interceptions and three fumbles.
Saturday's game will air on ESPN2 with Mark Jones calling the play-by-play, Ed Cunningham as the color analyst and Jeannine Edwards on the sidelines.
