TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team held a two-hour practice in full pads Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields as preparations amp up for the January 1 matchup against No. 7 Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.
With just over 10 days remaining until the Crimson Tide and Spartans square off, head coach Nick Saban said his players were focused in for another good practice, and gave a good effort on the eve of their final practice before heading to Orlando Christmas night.
"We had a good day of work today," Saban said. "I think when you practice this many days in a row it can become tough mentally, but this is work that we need to do to be successful as a team."
Alabama will hold its final practice in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday morning before breaking for Christmas and then traveling to Orlando on December 25 to fine tune the game plan. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. (CST) on New Year's Day and will be televised by ESPN.
