
Ekey, Lennarth Garner Honorable Mention All-America Honors

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama senior Kathleen Ekey and sophomore Camilla Lennarth were selected as honorable mention All-Americans by Duramed and the National Golf Coaches Association at the NGCA Division I Awards Banquet in Baltimore, Md., over the weekend.
Ekey and Lennarth are the seventh and eighth players in Alabama history to garner All-America honors from the NGCA. The pair was also selected to the NGCA All-East Region team along with true freshman Brooke Pancake.
It is the second straight year for Ekey to earn honorable mention All-America honors. The senior from Wadsworth, Ohio, is the fourth Tide player to be named a two-time All-American. She finished her final year at the Capstone with a 73.72 stroke average while earning first-team All-SEC honors and capturing medalist honors at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.
Lennarth garnered her first All-America recognition after leading the Crimson Tide with a 73.70 scoring average. The Stockholm, Sweden, native posted two top 10 finishes, including a tie for third at the NCAA East Regional. She had seven rounds under par and was selected first-team All-SEC.
Pancake closed her freshman campaign with a scorching 4-under-par 68 in the final round of the NCAA Championships. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native averaged 74.06 strokes per round in 11 starts and 31 rounds as a rookie. Her top finish of the season was seventh at the NCAA Duramed Fall Preview and the NCAA East Regional. Pancake was a second-team All-SEC choice and named to the SEC All-Freshman team.
