NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Due to high probability of rain and threat of severe weather on Sunday in the Nashville area, the Southeastern Conference has granted permission for Alabama and Vanderbilt to play a double-header on Saturday, April 18, at Hawkins Field.
The teams will play two, nine-inning games beginning at 3 p.m. (CDT). There will be a 30-minute break between games. This will be Alabama's second SEC double-header of the season (vs. Georgia - March 14) and its sixth in the last two years.
Alabama (25-13, 8-8 SEC) won the series opener 10-4 in Friday, by scoring six runs in the eighth inning with two outs to snap a 4-4 tie.
