Women's Basketball Announces 2009 Camp Dates

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Women's Basketball program, and Head Coach Wendell Hudson, have announced dates for its 2009 summer camp slate. A total of five programs will be offered beginning on June 7 and ending June 14.
Kicking off the camp schedule will be the Fundamental Camp running June 7 - 10. Here, children ages seven though 18 will have the opportunity to work on the basics of the game while engaging in five-on-five and three-on-three games. Next up is the Day Camp that will run from June 8 - 10. This will be similar to the Fundamental Camp, but will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. daily and is offered for ages five to 10.
A pair of one-day camps will be held next with the Shooting/Positions Camp on June 10 and Team Play Date on June 11. The Shooting/Position Camp lasts from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature a smaller coach-to-player ratio while individuals are able to work on developing skill at her respective position. Teams taking part in the Play Date are given the opportunity to take on other teams and play in four to five games that day. This is open to the first 12 teams to register.
The final camp offered is the Team Camp that will take place June 12 - 14. Each participating team is guaranteed eight games. In addition, there will be a coaches' social.
