Softball Friday Night Cap Cancelled Against Virginia Tech

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The No. 1 softball team will not be able to play Virginia Tech Friday night as the contest has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The game will not be made up on the schedule. Alabama earned an 8-0 win over No. 19 Southern Illinois to open Leadoff Classic play. The Crimson Tide will try and play its Saturday slate as scheduled. UA will open Saturday play against Houston at 1:30 p.m. ET and then play Michigan at 4:00 p.m. ET.
